It is official, we have now experienced 48 hours of intense rain, mostly intense downpour. Our swimsuits are out of commission and our sandals are so wet they are on the verge of rotting. Accordingly, we now venture outside barefoot as with water up to your ankles, what is the sense of shoes? Even though the rain has put a damper on our holiday we feel for those at on a week long vacation with weather like this to deal with. The sad faces at breakfast, and the two more rain days set to follow, makes us feel very lucky that we get to leave for sunny Bangkok on a jet plane tomorrow.To limit our cabin fever this afternoon, we will run to a nearby restaurant or pub with a stash of cards, books, crossword puzzles etc ... to entertain us for hours over hot and cold drinks. Travy is a bit upset as he has hardly made an appearance in Koh Samui, only a brief sighting of him all dressed up in a rain coat on our porch has occurred.
