You know...

Beijing is worth a trip just for shopping. After buying dozens of pieces of clothing, and the new suitcase that is necessary to put them in, I think we are pretty much done buying clothes on this trip. Beijing is a delight for shoppers. The markets are great, the zoo market north of the city is the best place to go for cheap prices, but the more touristy markets are also great value. And we do mean great value.

If getting bugged and haggling like crazy is not your thing, the city has enough mid-range and high end shops to satisfy even the biggest shopoholic. The best part about these things, at least the mid-range ones, is that they are still way cheaper than home. We are not joking about saying its worth the flight to get here and shop. If you want to do Xmas shopping, get yourself some clothes, some cheap glasses and anything else you may need...this is your place!

We are off to the Great Wall tomorrow. I know, we were supposed to go today, but got caught up with...shopping! So tomorrow we are heading there in minus 27...the only good thing about it being that cold is that we could have the wall to ourselves...or as close to it as you can get!
