Jarret and I have been officially christened by Thailand's sun and sea. After two days in Phuket, we have both been stung by jelly fish on our legs, arms, and stomachs and boast skin a very festive shade of red! After being stung, running out of the water, and feeling the stings longer than even a hardened Nova Scotian thought normal...we consulted our guidebook. It read that certain jellyfish stings in Thailand can kill within 2 minutes or one can develop a sickness by 40 minutes. So Jarret started a timer on his watch, we waited, and when the buzzer went off at 45 minutes (we added 5 minutes for good measure), we got up, realized we were still alive, and went to the pool, celebrating our health with a couple drinks!!
