And what a beautiful valley it was. Not so much for the women in it, although Leigh was looking good as usual, but for the 25 odd wineries side by side that you could walk into, sample a wine and leave paying anywhere from 50 cents to 3 dollars a glass and being escorted by the canine connoisseur we nicknamed roy. The resulting three hour nap that ruined our nights sleep was not as beautiful, but well worth it.
Hungary was, in a word, awesome. A real hidden gem. The capital was loaded with things to do and the little town we are in right now is gorgeous. We can only imagine coming in the summer and being able to visit the beaches of Central Europe's largest lake.
Today we are off on an overnight train to Romania, where the weather upon arrival is calling for snow! Yikes.
A best of worst of Hungary, and pictures, will be up in the next few days.
Don't forget to vote on the travel quiz!
