The luck of the Irish

A bit more on our border crossing to Turkey...We went to the bank the day we left Bulgaria especially to get US dollars for our visa to enter Turkey. At the border at 3 in the morning, the man at the visa counter would not accept our money. Too worn, hands back our passports and waves us to the side. There is no money changer, no atm, and no alternative but to find euros or go back to Bulgaria. Thankfully, an Irish couple gave us euros for the US dollars and we could get through the border. Many thanks to them!
