Last night in Germany tonight. Two more lovely days of rain in Dresden. Off to Warsaw in the am. Thought we would do a little overview of our thoughts on Germany.
Best of: Transit, Berlin, Doner/Falafel, Clean public washrooms, Patios
Worst of: Salsa, Weather, smoking in Cologne
Most Surprising: Good veggie food, cheap wine, super friendly people, number of smokers, amount of english, veggie burger and chicken wings from McDonald's.
Best Meal: Leigh - Fried potato jackets, Nuremberg. Jarret - Pork knuckle and potato's, Nuremberg.
Best Snack: Leigh - Pretzels and a beer stein. Jarret - Bratwurst
We would take: Transit and bike paths, liquor prices, public consumption of alcohol, blankets on every patio seat.
You can keep: 40 minute long graphic PDAs, smoking in restaurants, $10 water in restaurants.
Overall: Better than both of us thought. Great country.
