So long Thailand ...

Thailand is a world full of wonders to satisfy all visitors from those seeking adventure to those out for pure relaxation. The food is absolutely terrific and the people are animated and friendly. If you get bored here, you have done something wrong (unless of course you have gotten stranded in a monsoon).

Favourite beach:
Koh Phi Phi (touristy but no visible lady bars).

Memorable experiences:
Baan Chang Elephant Park, Thai cooking course, Sunday night market in Chiang Mai, and enormous prawns.

Best of:
Chiang Mai (laid-back city with loads to do), Koh Samui airpot (gorgeous), and street BBQ.

Worst of:
Khaosan road (Bangkok), tuk tuk drivers, suit tailors, Baan Tong Luang Village (aka Human Zoo in Chiang Mai).

Surprising facts:
Local food was not too spicy and each town had at least five 7/11 conveinent stores.

Sad confessions:
Leigh was getting sick of Thai food until a few trips to a Mexican restaurant got her back on track and Jarret is already experiencing serious market fatigue.

Yes please:
Variety of cheap street eats.

No thanks:
In your face prostitution.

Warning:
Chang beer has unregulated alcohol content i.e. if you feel drunk after two beers, you probably are going to experience a Changover.
