Been in Kata for a couple of days now. Interesting trip from the aiport; ended up being offered a ride ride from the chairman of the board of a fitness company Richard Branson owns. Needless to say our ride down in the fancy SUV was more comfy than the normal cabs. The best thing was how laid back, super friendly and helpful the guy was on giving tips and advice!
Kata is cool, calm and laid back. The food is great (two countries in a row!) and the weather has been awesome so far. We have been enjoying the sun. Tomorrow night we might go up to Patong and check out what is supposed to be a super seedy and sleazy nightlife...gotta at least check it out.
