I've read that people start to get tired of travelling between 2-3 months, so maybe thats it. But we are so ready to head to asia it isnt even funny. We both feel very tired and worn out, and I fear that we made a huge mistake in going to Alexandria instead of Luxor. We are still on the train to Cairo from Alex and I already feel that way. Maybe things here got to us because sometimes it was so easy to get around, and service and value for money was great, and just when you expect it to be like that, Bam, you are hit with incredibly frustrating experiences and being ripped off like crazy. Maybe it would have been easier to just be awful service and value the whole way. Not being able to bring food or water into a hotel "for our safety" feels like the ultimate rip-off. Maybe it`s the dust that clings to the roof of my mouth the minute we step outside into air dirtier than Delhi. Maybe its the difficulty in finding food (sure we could eat at the roadside or little places, but after feeling off for 3 weeks would you risk it?) Maybe we are getting older and can't handle it anymore...pretty sure that is not it though (at least we hope not). Could be the blatant chauvanistic english language papers we read or the fact that this train has been going slower than I can crawl for the last 25 minutes. Who knows. What we do know is that we are ready to go and change things up a bit.
Looking forward to Jordan because Petra should be great, floating in the dead sea as well, but after that, bring on Asia! Can you find Travey?
