Musings on home

Another day gone in Hoi An. Little drizzle today, but not nearly enough to ruin the day. Thanks to Nurse Harrison our fears of impending death from sickness have also been put to rest, or at least on the backburner for now. (to answer your question, you are right, I am sure there was a lot of elephant shit in that pool we bathed them in) Who needs hearing for 24 hours?!?! hahah

Instead of another boring recap of our daily activities, we thought we would give a run down on what we miss from home.

Roasts - beef, lamb, prok, turkey (this is mainly for Jarret)

Clean bath tubs - You dont even realize this until its gone, but when we saw the huge soaker tub in our $30 room, it was like Xmas. Esp since we are sick!

Friday night basketball and pizza - We didnt think we would miss it, but we do.

That TGIF feeling you get at the end of the week.

Health Care - Being sick now makes us realize how lucky we are. Raise the taxes if need be, just keep it available!

Fam and friends - Hopefully next time we do this we can strongarm somebody into visiting us.
Cooking ourselves - Being able to make whatever you feel like whenever you feel like it is a great thing.

Good salsa - harder to find than fossils!!

Cheddar cheese - We seriously think Vache Qui Rie (aka the laughing cow) has a monopoly on the world cheese trade, it is available everywhere and we are sure they have put hits out on every cheddar cheese producer outside the Great White North.

Brushing teeth with tapwater - if your staying in one place for a long time, go for it. If not, then forget it and grab the bottle.

Until next time.
