Hey all. In Budapest now...so far it seems pretty awesome. Here are our thoughts on Prague. Enjoy
Best of: boulevard baguette (like a mcdonalds for fresh, made as you order baguette sandwiches), walking to everywhere, local pubs with no tourists
Worst of: weather, doggie doo, crazy random, close talking guy living at 10 Navratilova, laundry facilities.
Best Meal: Leigh – broccoli and cheese crepes. Jarret – Roast pork with dumplings and sauerkraut.
Yes please: boulevard baguette
No thanks: Absinthe...sure the little green fairy may be cute and some days just beg for 70% alcohol, but that is seriously the worst tasting stuff in the history of mankind!
Overall: Prague is a beautiful city. Its great to be able to walk everywhere and even though it it had more tourists than anywhere we have ever been, it is still possible to go a little off the main path and get a local vibe.
Random thoughts:
Why would somebody go to a cheap local pub, ask for coffee, get angry over how its made and then shove an instant coffee Nescafe packet at the guy and tell him its good, make it, its Isreali. And to top it all off, ask him where he is from and when he answers Iraq...respond with the classic...”Iraq, Saddam”!!
Do people really watch handicam home movies of inanimate statues, buildings and parking lots?? We aren’t sure how that works...no offense to anyone!
Pics will follow shortly, and yes, travey is in the picture.
Ciao
