Our time and activities in Bulgaria were unfortunately limited due to rainy weather and an ongoing illness with one of our party. What we have gathered from our short stay was that food was good and shops were cheap. We found the best hostel we have ever been to and would recommend it for anyone heading to either Sofia or Veliko Tarnovo. It is named Hostel Mostel and offers free pickup from the train, internet, breakfast, and dinner (with beer!). If our luck and timing had been better, we could have enjoyed caving and other outdoor activities. This only means we will have to return, and we see no problem in that!
